Minnesota Auto Shipping FAQs
At auto-transport-shipping.com we understand there are a lot of decisions to make when it comes to your Minnesota auto shipping. Hopefully we can help by answering some of your questions ahead of time.
- Q: What is a Condition Report?
A: The Condition Report is a part of the Bill of Lading (BOL). The Condition Report documents the condition your vehicle is in at the time the driver takes custody. The driver along with you or your representative will fill out The Condition report together. You or your representative will verify it is correct and along with the driver will sign it. Claims of damage will be determined based on this report from the point of pick-up to delivery.
- Q: Do I have to be at the pick-up or/and delivery location?
A: No, when setting up your order you can designate a representative for pickup and delivery for the driver. The contact must be at least 18 years of age. Both the pickup and delivery representatives are responsible for signing off on the Bill of Lading and inspecting your vehicle.
- Q: What do I do before shipping my vehicle?
A: Before shipping, we recommend inspecting your vehicle for any and all prior damages. These must be noted for insurance purposes. We always recommend taking photos.
- Q: What is the difference between Door to Door and Terminal to Terminal pick-up and/or delivery?
A: Terminal to Terminal is a chosen location where the driver can pick-up and/or deliver multiple vehicles which will be more budget friendly. Door to Door service the driver will pick-up and/or deliver at your front door at your convenience.
- Q: What is the process of shipping my vehicle?
A: The transportation process is easy. Our partner drivers are experienced in moving both operable and non-operable vehicles onto their trailers and driving them hundreds and thousands of miles. Our associates will handle all the details of the shipping process, so you don’t have to worry!
- Q: Will anyone drive my vehicle during transport?
A: The driver must drive your vehicle on and off the transport trailer. If someone must drive your vehicle due to government road regulations or residential restrictions, one of our professional partner drivers will contact you to acquire your authorization.
